Handy facts electric smoking

Choosing the right e-cigarette can be a big challenge, because there are so many products available. That is why we have put together a number of useful facts about electric smoking, which both new users and experienced vapor can learn from.

Note: We do not give advice on the purchase of specific products, they are only useful facts about electric smoking.

Ohm or Sub Ohm?

Normal e-cigarettes use coils that have a resistance between 1.5 and 2.5 ohms. For more vapor to achieve a water pipe effect you need Sub Ohm coils. Not only must the electric cigarette be able to handle this, it is also advisable to use e-liquid with an optimal relationship between PG / VG.

What does the PG / VG ratio stand for?

PG stands for Propylene Glycol, VG stands for Vegetarian Glycerine. The higher the share of VG, the thicker the liquid becomes. Some people are sensitive to PG, then choose a higher concentration of VG in the e-liquid. Read more about this here.

How often do you have to replace the coil?

A coil will burn out over time, this can usually be seen from a strong discoloration of the cotton in the coil. You can also taste the difference in the vapor. If we assume ex-smokers and their smoking behavior you can say:

For less than 10 cigarettes a day, replace the coil every one and a half weeks.
For 10 to 20 cigarettes a day, replace the coil every week.
For more than 20 cigarettes per day, replace the coil every five days.
