The cartridge refills from Philip Morris
Philip Morris is the manufacturer of famous brands of cigarettes such as Marlboro, Chesterfield and L&M. After the introduction of the e-cigarette, they saw their market share shrink, and decided to develop an alternative to both traditional smoking and new fumes. The result is a kind of electronic cigarette that heats tobacco instead of burns, eliminating some of the harmful substances released when tobacco is burned. With the IQOS cartridges that consist of compressed tobacco, most tobacco smoking characteristics remain intact, but without burning. That does not mean that this way of smoking is healthy, especially because nicotine is still being released. It is an alternative to standard cigarette smoking.
About IQOS HEETS cartridges
The e-cigarettes with this system do not work with IQOS cartomizers, but with special cartridges in which tobacco is compressed, called HEETS sticks. The main difference with smoking is the lack of combustion. By heating the HEETS sticks at temperatures lower than 350 degrees Celsius, the tobacco will not be burned, but will release the aroma and nicotine. It is intended as an alternative to smokers, with no claims being made about possible health benefits. The nicotine in particular makes this product addictive, it does not release the same soot and tar as is the case with incineration. There is a vapor emission, but this is not the same as with real dampers that work on the basis of e-liquid.
Types of IQOS refills

According to the manufacturer, only a limited part of the tobacco harvest is eligible for use in IQOS cartridges due to quality requirements. It is a product of Philips Morris with which the raw materials will not be any different than with normal cigarettes. The refills are not suitable for e-cigarettes because e-liquid is not used.
