Components of an electric cigarette

  • Clearomizer: This is the tank that contains the e-liquid.
  • Coil: This is a filament that heats the liquid for evaporation.
  • Battery: The battery ensures the heating of the coil.
  • Mouthpiece: This is the part you put on the lips to inhale.

E-liquid

This is the liquid that is evaporated by the heat of the coil. You can compare it with the tobacco in a cigarette. With this liquid you can choose different flavors and also the amount of nicotine that you inhale.

Evaporation, no combustion

Although we often use words like "electric smoking" out of habit, it is actually an evaporation process. The liquid evaporates leaving no emissions of tar, soot and other substances released during combustion. This is an important difference that makes e-cigarettes less unhealthy.

What is an e-cigarette?

There are various models, from simple disposable cigarettes that you can use for a few days, to boxmodels that let you set the temperature for a personalized experience. With refillable e-cigarettes you can choose for the taste and the amount of nicotine. So you can experiment with different flavors or you can reduce the amount of nicotine. With an e-cigarette, there is only heating and evaporation, but not of combustion. When you experience a cotton flavor, the coil needs to be replaced, this will have to be done every other week with average use.

There are many types of e-cigarettes on the market, the main agreement is the evaporation of e-liquid instead of burning tobacco.
